Hammondsport, New York sits at the head of Keuka Lake, one of the Finger Lakes that ornament the Empire State's southern tier.

It's a gem of a 19th century village packed with big Victorian houses, including some attractive bed and breakfast inns. The heart of town is a pocket-handkerchief-sized square full of trees and a gazebo for summer concerts.

Hammondsport can be easily reached from Routes I-390, and I-86, and State Routes 17, 15, 54, and 54A. See map below.
Once in Hammondsport, Lake Country Patchwork is easy to find. It is within a block of the square, in the downstairs of the historic Opera House, a venerable brick building (1901) that no longer hosts concerts on the upstairs level, but still has storefronts on the street.
