About Lake County Patchwork

Lake County Patchwork (LCP) opened in 1996 and has gained a reputation for being a fun and creative place. There is always something new in the shop, laughter and classical music in the air and inspiration everywhere! You won’t be able to resist the wonderful patterns and colors. Just take a stroll thru the shop, where you’ll find beautiful cotton fabrics by Kona Bay, Robert Kaufman, Red Rooster, P&B and more. We are known for our extensive Asian fabric collection and the wine & grape fabrics that are perfect for our wine country location.

The Store

There are quilts and projects displayed throughout the store. The store itself used to be an old Opera House and even has a patchwork tile floor. Most appropriate! It’s a charming store in a charming quaint rural village in the Finger Lakes of NY.

Candace (The Owner)

I started sewing in 4-H in grade school. The focus at that time was on garments but my addiction to fabric started there and continues today! My first quilting projects came in the early 1970’s and I was hooked. Although quilting continues to change, quilters have remained some of the most creative and generous people I know and I am privileged to share my passion with all of the quilters that visit the shop.

Candy’s philosophy: “Quilting should be a fun and relaxing outlet!” Stop by and see her gift items, sale room and the ever famous button bowl.
